One of the many ways of truly visiting Breckenridge is by traversing the challenging and rewarding terrain of the area by way of an ATV. While bringing your own ATV, or buying a new one, is often expensive and high maintenance, renting an ATV at one of the many rental companies is a much more favorable option. Whether you prefer to ride in the comfort of a Jeep, or even a Hummer H1, or you want the excitement of an ATV, there are options galore in the Breckenridge area for guided four wheel drive tours of the surrounding mountains and wilderness. We’ve provided a few to get you started.
FUN FOR YOU RENTALS
Located in Frisco, Fun For You Rentals has both 2- and 4-person ATVs available to rent. You can choose to rent the ATVs for a half- or a full day, but if you'd like a longer excursion, overnight rentals are also available. When you rent ATVs from Fun For You Rentals, all you need to do is go to their office where you'll pick up your truck, trailer, and the ATVs. Then, it's up to you to head out and explore whichever backcountry trails strike your fancy.
ASPEN CANYON
The Aspen Canyon Dude Ranch is located in Silverthorne, which is just a short drive from Breckenridge. Guests can rent ATVs for 1.5 hours and enjoy the ride up to the top of Saddle Mountain. Or they can rent an ATV for 3 hours and choose from over 150 miles of National Forest trails to explore. There are trails for riders of all abilities.
ABOVE AND BEYOND GUIDES
Above and Beyond is located in Wolcott, Colorado, which is about an hour's drive away from Breckenridge. They offer guided 2.5-hour ATV tours of the Castle Peak Wilderness Area. ATV tours include a professional guide, helmet, goggles, rain gear, beverages, and a snack. If you'd like to experience a little more Colorado beauty, you can take a jeep tour, which takes about 3.5 to 4 hours and covers miles and miles of backcountry routes. Jeep tours include beverages, a snack, blanket, rain gear, and, of course, a professional guide.
