Getting to and Around Steamboat Springs

Visitors can get to Steamboat Springs from Denver by taking I-70 west to CO-9 and that road to Highway 40. From the west, Steamboat Springs is a fairly easy drive on Hwy 40 out of Utah. There are a few different flying options to get to Steamboat Springs. Visitors can fly into Denver International Airport or to Hayden Airport, which is about 22 miles from Steamboat. More and more carriers are offering direct flights to the Hayden airport, especially during the winter months. Otherwise, Yampa Valley Regional Airport and a few other smaller airports close to Steamboat Springs are available for those with private jets and smaller planes.
