Getting To and Around Winter Park

Winter Park is about a 1.5-hour drive from Denver and about one hour and 45 minutes from Denver International Airport (DEN). Take I-70 west to exit 232. Follow this exit to Hwy 40, which will take you through Empire, up and over Berthoud Pass, and down the other side into Winter Park. The route over the pass is incredibly scenic, but keep in mind that in the winter months, snow can seriously impact driving conditions on this road. If you're flying into Denver International Airport, you can also take a shuttle from the airport to Winter Park. There is a free town shuttle that will take you to the resort during the ski season. In the summer months, the free shuttle operates on weekends.
