Located just a short drive from Breckenridge, picturesque Lake Dillon is a magnificent option for the boating enthusiast in your group. The lake sits at over 9000 feet in elevation, it's surrounded by mountains, and it has 25 miles of shoreline. With two marinas, you'll have plenty of options for boat rentals and even sailboat lessons. Boating season varies from year to year due to the weather, but typically it runs from early June to early to mid-September.
FRISCO BAY MARINA
The Frisco Bay Marina offers a variety of goods and services throughout boating season. Not only is it a full-service marina, but it has a retail store, a bar and grill, playground, and repair facilities. You can rent stand up paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks as well as fishing boats, pontoons, and runabouts. Boating season can be a busy time on Lake Dillon, so reservations are highly recommended. If a sailboat is more your style, Windrider of the Rockies has three types of sailboats from which you can choose. They also offer sailing lessons from ASA-certified instructors, complete ASA certification exams, and guided tours of the lake.
